The mission of the Economic Policy Institute is to ensure that the economy works for all Americans, especially low- and middle-income families. Through its research and analysis, EPI advocates for policies that promote economic opportunity, social justice, and the well-being of workers. The institute works to achieve the following goals:
* Promote full employment and fair wages for all workers.
* Reduce income inequality and promote economic security for families.
* Provide research and policy recommendations on labor markets, trade, and economic policy that support working Americans.
